Our First Snow

It was drawing to the end of our first week on the east coast. Overnight the temperature dropped. The rain had turned to sleet. We'd planned a visit into Inverness and a walk along the river Ness. The Ness river winds its way through the town and out to the Moray Firth.
A walk alongside 'Ness Way' is a delightful way to see the town.
Picturesque, but oh so cold. My nose was decidedly numb and I couldn't feel my face as we headed towards High St and the shops.
That night it snowed.
In the morning, we drove through the mountains alongside the loch. Snow was sprinkled on the houses and on the sides of the road. Picture Postcard stuff!
